The exhibition marks two milestone anniversaries: the 30th anniversary of the Heisei Mothra series and the 65th anniversary of Mothra's original debut.

A Phase 2 advance reservation bonus is now available. Visitors who purchase advance tickets for dates between April 20 (Monday) and July 17 (Friday), 2026, will receive an original postcard featuring Mothra from the 1996 film "Mothra." This design was chosen as the Phase 1 winner in a popular vote held from December 20, 2025, through April 12, 2026.

"Godzilla Interception Operation" Overview

"Godzilla Interception Operation" is a one-of-a-kind entertainment attraction themed around the world's largest Godzilla—a full-scale, 120-meter figure that has landed on Awaji Island. Participants join as members of the National Godzilla Awaji Island Research Center and take on missions including a zipline that enters the meticulously detailed interior of Godzilla, and a shooting game to eliminate scattered Godzilla cells.

The attraction also features permanently installed facilities, including the world-first Godzilla Museum, and a kids' area called "Kaijuu no Mori" where children can freely enjoy approximately 50 types of monster soft vinyl figures. Godzilla-themed merchandise and food from the National Godzilla Awaji Island Research Center are also available.

The "Godzilla Interception Operation" also carries a wide range of Godzilla merchandise, with original items exclusive to Nijigen no Mori. Hats, headbands, glasses, figures, and sweets are among the options available for souvenirs.
