Odekake Kozame Exhibition Coming to Matsuya Ginza This Summer with Original Art, Voice Performances, and Exclusive Merchandise

To celebrate the 5th anniversary of the popular anime and manga series Odekake Kozame, the first-ever solo exhibition — "Odekake Kozame Exhibition: Omotenashi SEA Tour" — is set to open at Matsuya Ginza 8F Event Square from July 22 (Wednesday) to August 11 (Tuesday/holiday), 2026.

The venue will be decorated throughout with original illustrations drawn specifically for the exhibition by creator Penguin Box, delivering a fully immersive experience in the world of Odekake Kozame. Alongside the main exhibition, an exhibition shop will offer event-exclusive original merchandise.

Exhibition Highlights

Highlight 1: Kozame-chan's Town Tour — An Exciting Journey Through the Towns

The main exhibition area lets visitors experience the atmosphere of the many unique towns Kozame-chan has visited in the series. Episode displays, video presentations, and character introductions bring her outings to life. The walls are adorned with newly drawn illustrations by Penguin Box created exclusively for this exhibition — original artwork that can only be seen here.

Highlight 2: Relaxing Photo Spots and Interactive Exhibits

At the entrance, visitors are welcomed by a standing figure of Kozame-chan. A giant fluffy panel of Usame-chan — so soft it's impossible not to want to touch — will also be on display, along with a "stuffed toy photo corner" where visitors can pose their favorite plushies for photos. In the Yoruuo Town area, a fox-themed shrine allows visitors to actually draw omikuji (fortune slips), creating the feeling of stepping right into the world of the story.

Highlight 3: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the Creation of Odekake Kozame

This section pulls back the curtain on how the world of Odekake Kozame came to be. Valuable materials and drawing process videos from creator Penguin Box are on display. The "How Kozame Was Made" corner traces the journey from manga and anime production, offering a rare glimpse into the creative process.

Exhibition-Exclusive Voice Performances

Newly recorded voices of Kozame-chan, Ankou-chan, and Usame-chan from anime Odekake Kozame Season 2 will play throughout the venue. Visitors may even catch the sound of the characters going on their own outings around the exhibition space — so be sure to listen carefully as you explore.

Celebratory Messages from the Voice Cast

In celebration of the exhibition, congratulatory comments have arrived from the voice actresses.

Kana Hanazawa (voice of Kozame-chan):
"Congratulations on the Odekake Kozame Exhibition!!! This exhibition lets you not only immerse yourself in the world of Odekake Kozame, but also peek behind the scenes of production — I think it's a must-see for fans! And I can already see myself spending a lot of money at the merchandise corner... (laughs). Please come and meet Kozame-chan and the gang!"

Megumi Han (voice of Ankou-chan):
"Congratulations on this first-ever exhibition celebrating the 5th anniversary of Odekake Kozame! Watching Kozame-chan and friends makes you feel like you've been on an outing, and makes you want to go on one too. Everyone, take this chance to go out and meet Kozame-chan! And let's celebrate the 5th anniversary together!!"

I'm sure it will be warm, gentle, and fill you with a sense of calm. I hope everyone who comes will be able to enjoy Kozame-chan's outings together and have a wonderful time."
