A pre-order campaign for the "Patch Gourd" Gold Mini Figure (18K gold) — the first release in the Osamu Tezuka World Gold Collection — is now open. "Patch Gourd" Gold Mini Figure (18K Gold)
This piece was created in 2026 to mark the 80th anniversary of Osamu Tezuka's manga debut. It is reportedly the world's first three-dimensional figure of Patch Gourd (according to U-Treasure). The figure is crafted in 18K gold, prized for both its brilliance and durability.
Patch Gourd is a beloved oddball character that makes surprise appearances throughout Tezuka's many works. Despite measuring just approximately 9mm, the figure captures the character's rounded silhouette, patchwork texture, and subtle expression — all realized through the meticulous work of experienced jewelry artisans. The piece comes housed in a dedicated display case.

Osamu Tezuka World Gold Collection
The Osamu Tezuka World Gold Collection brings characters from Osamu Tezuka's works to life as gold figures. Each piece measures just 1 to 2 centimeters and is handcrafted by skilled jewelry artisans. The collection is intended both as a collector's item and as a heirloom to pass down across generations.
As part of the first wave of this collection, gold mini figures of "Astro Boy" and "Buddha" (both 18K gold) are also available for pre-order during the same period (May 20 (Wed) – June 22 (Mon), 2026).
