A new "Pingu Variety Collection" is set to roll out in capsule toy vending machines across Japan from mid-April 2026. The collection brings the world-famous penguin, Pingu, to life in a range of sewn fabric accessories — five types in total, priced at ¥400 per capsule (tax included).

The collection offers a variety of practical items, each featuring Pingu in different forms:

The Tote Bag measures 285mm wide with a gusset, making it handy for everyday outings.

The Face Drawstring Bag is made from a fluffy material with an irresistibly cute Pingu face design.

The Cylinder Pouch features Pingu in various poses around the outside, giving it a uniquely charming look.

The Square Flat Pouch is a compact organizer sized just right for keeping small items tidy in a bag, with different designs on the front and back.

The Gusset Pouch has an approximately 5cm gusset for extra storage capacity.

About Pingu
Pingu is a stop-motion animation series created by Swiss filmmaker Otmar Gutmann. The original test film was produced in 1980, and 2025 marks the 45th anniversary of the character's creation. From the 1990s onwards, the TV series has been broadcast in more than 155 countries and regions worldwide, winning the hearts of audiences everywhere with its warm, humorous stories about a young penguin named Pingu and his friends.
