Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Tokyo — The Game's Biggest Real-World Event Kicks Off May 29

Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Tokyo opens on May 29 (Friday) and runs through June 1 (Monday), 2026 — a four-day festival billed as the largest real-world Pokémon GO event ever held. The main venue spans Odaiba Beach Park and surrounding areas in Minato, Koto, and Shinagawa wards, while city-wide gameplay extends across all of Tokyo (excluding islands). Ahead of the main event period, city-wide gameplay began on May 25 (Monday), giving trainers a head start on exploring Tokyo.

Park Venue Experiences — Tokyo Waterfront Subcenter (Daiba/Aomi Area)

During the event, the park venues in the waterfront subcenter will feature limited-time booths and festive decorations. Several hands-on experiences are planned alongside in-game activities:

  • Exclusive photo spots: Limited-edition event decorations and photo opportunities are set up throughout the venue for commemorative photos.
  • Pikachu Dance Stage: Pikachu characters perform dance shows to music from Pokémon KidsTV, with entertainment for all ages.
  • "Pikachu Ondo in GO Fest": Participants dance "Pikachu Ondo" around a large tower in a summer-festival atmosphere with Pikachu.
  • "Pokégenic" photo decorations: Photogenic Pokémon installations are scattered around the venue for casual photo walks.

City-Wide Gameplay — All of Tokyo (Excluding Islands and Park Venues)

Beyond the park venues, activities are spread throughout Tokyo. Trainers without a park ticket can purchase a "City Exploration Ticket" to take part in city-wide gameplay:

  • Shopping campaign: Show a Pokémon GO game screen at participating stores to receive an original event sticker.
  • Special photo booths at Toranomon Hills & Roppongi Hills: AR photo spots where trainers can photograph their favorite Pokémon.
  • Rare loading screen art exhibition: Artwork usually seen only during app startup is on special display at "Isle Shinagawa."
  • Pikachu sun visor distribution: In collaboration with Tokyo Greenz, Pikachu sun visors are being distributed at four metropolitan parks. Visit Tokyo's green parks to enjoy the city's nature.
  • Official Routes: Routes leading trainers to recommended local spots and restaurants while playing Pokémon GO.
  • Event-original coasters: Limited-period coasters are available at select dining venues in nearby partner hotels (Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba, DoubleTree by Hilton Tokyo Ariake, Hotel Trusty Tokyo Bayside, Sotetsu Grand Fresa Tokyo Bay-Ariake).

NEW: "GO Stamp Rally" Debuts Across Three Tokyo Wards

Starting May 25 (Monday), a "GO Stamp Rally" is underway in Minato, Koto, and Shinagawa wards — one rally per ward, three in total. Collect stamps at designated PokéStops within the game to encounter Pokémon with location backgrounds featuring each ward's landmarks. This is the first time a "GO Stamp Rally" has been held exclusively within Tokyo, and it is open to all trainers regardless of event ticket status. It can be enjoyed alongside the "Pokéfuta Stamp Rally."
