Pokémon Pokopia's First Paid DLC "Bubbly Basin" Brings an Area Gate to Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse and Special Ads to Minatomirai Station

The Pokémon Company will release "Bubbly Basin," the first volume of the paid downloadable content "Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass" for the Nintendo Switch 2 game Pokémon Pokopia, on the morning of August 5, 2026 (Wednesday). The DLC expands on the game's town-building and slow-life gameplay with Pokémon.

To mark the release, an area gate from the world of Pokémon Pokopia has appeared at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, where a limited-time real-world event will run from August 6 (Thursday). At the same time, the Minatomirai Line's train cars and Minatomirai Station have been taken over with a Pokémon Pokopia theme since August 2 (Sunday), turning the town of Minatomirai into part of the Bubbly Basin world for the summer.

Area Gate Appears at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, Real-World Event From August 6

In Pokémon Pokopia, raising a trainer's rank unlocks area gates that let players travel to other towns, and one such gate has now appeared at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. From August 6 (Thursday), for a limited time, visitors will be able to step through the gate into a special event space themed around the new town, Bubbly Basin. Further details on what lies beyond the gate are still to come.

*This event includes staging that differs from the actual in-game visuals.

Minatomirai Line Takes Over as Part of the Bubbly Basin World

From August 2 (Sunday), the interior of Minatomirai Station on the Minatomirai Line has transformed into the world of Pokémon Pokopia. The Y500 series train cars, which began running the same day, are wrapped with lively Pokémon artwork, and hanging ads, window ads, and door stickers fill the cars.

A Special Wrapped Train Themed Around Bubbly Basin

To mark the release of "Bubbly Basin," the first volume of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass, a specially wrapped train created in collaboration with Yokohama Minatomirai Railway Co., Ltd. began running on August 2 (Sunday).

The train is wrapped with Pokémon that can be found in Bubbly Basin, along with Ditto transformed into human form using the new move "Diving," making the Minatomirai Line itself feel like part of the Bubbly Basin world. Ditto also appears on the in-train destination displays.

*"Diving" can be learned through the free Ver. 2.0.0 update.

Minatomirai Station's Mirai Tube Transforms Into an Undersea World

From August 5 (Wednesday) to August 9 (Sunday), the Mirai Tube concourse outside the ticket gates on the station's basement 3rd floor will be entirely decorated in the world of Pokémon Pokopia.

Themed around the undersea scenery of Bubbly Basin, the space recreates the "habitats" where players encounter Pokémon in the game. At the central signage area, different Pokémon appear from each habitat, offering visitors a glimpse into the world of Bubbly Basin.

New TV commercials for the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass featuring Sakana-kun, airing since July 30 (Thursday), will also be shown in the space.

The space also includes photo spots modeled on the "habitat" displays familiar from the game, letting visitors feel as if they've stepped inside Pokémon Pokopia.
