Story
Long ago, three warriors — an ancient hero, Isabella, and Arnold — stood against the fearsome Crimson and won. Fifty years later, a new evil has begun to cast its shadow over the now-peaceful world.
The elder of the town of Nopoli witnesses an ominous shooting star — a sign of the evil's revival. He summons a young man who carries a mysterious orb passed down from his father. According to an ancient prophecy, five heroes, each bearing a sacred gem, will guide the world back to peace. Accepting his destiny, the young man sets out to find the remaining four. Each of the other heroes has already received their own calling and awaits the prophesied leader.
Gameplay
Released in 1989, this RPG casts players in the role of one of five sacred warriors, venturing out with four companions to defeat an evil poised for revival. The game opens with four prologue chapters following warrior Gorbas, monk Reema, mage Marlon, and female warrior Natasha, before shifting to the main hero's perspective, where the party unites and the full adventure begins.
The game features a top-down view, with random encounter battles resolved through a command-based system. The main scenario spans more than ten chapters. While players familiar with the first game may recognize some familiar threads, CRIMSON II is fully playable without prior knowledge of its predecessor. Project EGG also distributes the follow-up CRIMSON III for those looking to continue the journey.
