PHANTASY STAR ONLINE 2 NEW GENESIS ver.2 (NGS ver.2) received an update on July 29, 2026, bringing back the limited-time quest "The Writhing Malice, Confined '26" along with several other additions.
Limited-Time Quest Returns
Period: July 29, 2026 (Wednesday) 12:00 PM to August 5, 2026 (Wednesday) until maintenance begins
The limited-time quest "The Writhing Malice, Confined '26" is back. Set at the Dreisen Plant, it supports up to 8 participants.
Clearing each wave extends the time limit, so players push toward the final wave while extending their remaining time along the way. Certain waves offer gimmicks that give an advantage in battle against enemies, so using them well and preserving extra time before the final wave is key.
Alongside the quest, title tasks and limited-time tasks are also being added. Completing these tasks lets players earn titles and the base wear "Chevalnoir V2 [Ba]" and "Chevalnoir V2/B [Ba]."
Costume GET Campaign Updated
The ongoing "Costume GET Campaign" has had its limited-time tasks refreshed, making new items available.
Clearing the limited-time quest and completing tasks lets players earn costumes.
Revival AC Scratch

The AC Scratch "Yudi Special Ability Select Jul '26" is now available.
