KOUGEI EXPO in KANAGAWA, one of Japan's largest events for traditional crafts, will be held at Pacifico Yokohama from Saturday, November 7 to Monday, November 9, 2026. The entrance will feature an ikebana display by Senko Ikenobo, the next head of the Ikenobo school, and a collaboration gallery with Touken Ranbu ONLINE will show two real swords with ties to Kanagawa Prefecture. The event also offers craft demonstrations and hands-on workshops featuring traditional crafts from Kanagawa and across Japan. Admission is free.
Ikebana by Senko Ikenobo
A rikka (立花) arrangement by Senko Ikenobo (池坊専好), the next head of Ikenobo, the head family of ikebana, will be displayed at the venue entrance. The piece is arranged in a Hakone yosegi-zaiku (Hakone marquetry) vase on the theme of "a microcosm of great nature," and will decorate the venue. Visitors can enjoy the story created by two traditions, ikebana and traditional crafts.

Sword Exhibition at the KOUGEI x Touken Ranbu ONLINE Collaboration Gallery
At the KOUGEI x Touken Ranbu ONLINE collaboration gallery, two swords will be on display: Katana Mumei, attributed to Chogi (刀 無銘 伝 長義), and Katana Futasujihi Sadamune (replica) (刀 二筋樋貞宗(写し)). Both are from the collection of Nitroplus Co., Ltd. The Katana Mumei attributed to Chogi, an Especially Important Sword (特別重要刀剣), will be shown with a Kamakura-bori sword stand, and the Katana Futasujihi Sadamune (replica) will be shown with a Hakone yosegi-zaiku sword stand. The display pairs Kanagawa's traditional crafts with real swords.
