A new shoe with crocodile-style details, the "SPEEDCAT CROC," goes on sale from Puma Japan Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo) on Thursday, October 15, 2026. Puma's global brand ambassador ROSÉ appears in the campaign visual.
The SPEEDCAT, first released in 1999, is a lifestyle shoe rooted in the fire-resistant racing shoes that F1™ Grand Prix drivers wore from the 1980s to the 1990s. It is known for a streamlined form inspired by motorsports and a low-profile silhouette designed with aerodynamics in mind, and it is now popular in the fashion scene as well.
The new "SPEEDCAT CROC" builds on the SPEEDCAT's streamlined, low-profile silhouette with a soft suede upper. Glossy crocodile-style details are applied to the Formstrip and around the shoelace holes. It comes in three colors: Black, Dark Brown, and Off-White. The contrast between the suede texture and the glossy parts is a key feature, and matching Puma logos and shoelaces give the design subtle detail within its subdued color palette.
In the campaign visual, ROSÉ wears the "SPEEDCAT CROC" and puts her own spin on the classic style. Set against a retro interior lit by soft light, the visual shows ROSÉ looking natural and confident.
