SEGA's beloved action puzzle game series Puyo Puyo is celebrating its 35th anniversary through an ongoing "Dai-Rensa!" (Big Chain!) project, and two major new collaborations have been revealed. A tie-up with the TV anime Tokyo Revengers and a hometown partnership with Hiroshima Prefecture are set to bring more excitement to the anniversary celebrations.

#14 Rensa: Tokyo Revengers Collaboration


A collaboration between the TV anime Tokyo Revengers and Puyo Puyo is set to launch on Friday, May 15, 2026. Collab merchandise including can badges and large acrylic stands will be available at THE Character SHOP on the 6th floor of Shinjuku Marui Annex.
#15 Rensa: "Puyo to Hiroshima" Collaboration

Puyo Puyo was born in Hiroshima Prefecture in 1991, and it is now returning to its roots with a wide range of collaborative projects across the prefecture. Five new "Hiroshima Puyos" have been specially illustrated for the occasion, each inspired by famous local products and symbols of Hiroshima.
Plans include a special booth at the "2026 Hiroshima Flower Festival," a collab room at The Royal Park Hotel Hiroshima Riverside, and a variety of collab products including a "Kure Naval Curry" tie-up.

(1) Special Booth at the "2026 Hiroshima Flower Festival"
A special "Puyo to Hiroshima Park" booth will be featured at the "2026 Hiroshima Flower Festival," held from Sunday, May 3 to Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Now in its 49th edition and known as "a festival of peace flowers connecting Hiroshima and the world," the event will include a "Puyo Puyo Garbage Pick-Up Rally," a "Puyo Puyo Jumbo Yoyo Fishing" game, sales of 35th anniversary merchandise, and photo spots.
Collab Activity 1: "Puyo Puyo Garbage Pick-Up Rally"
Join in picking up trash to complete a giant Puyo together! The first 500 participants each day will receive an original wet tissue featuring the "Hiroshima Puyo" and Flower Festival collaboration design.
Collab Activity 2: "Puyo Puyo Jumbo Yoyo Fishing"
Try fishing for a jumbo Puyo balloon measuring over 40 cm in diameter, available in four colors with adorable Puyo eyes.


(2) Puyo Puyo Booth at the "8th Kure Local Character Festival"

The "8th Kure Local Character Festival" takes place in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17, 2026. The festival brings together over 60 characters from across Japan, and a Puyo Puyo merchandise booth and photo booth will be set up at the venue.
(3) Puyo Puyo Collab Room at The Royal Park Hotel Hiroshima Riverside

A Puyo Puyo collaboration room is coming to The Royal Park Hotel Hiroshima Riverside, where characters from the series will greet guests throughout the room. A special collaboration stay plan with exclusive guest-only novelty items is currently accepting reservations — details are available on the hotel's official website.
(4) "Kure Naval Curry" × Puyo Puyo Sticker Rally


A collaboration with "Kure Naval Curry," the local specialty of Kure City, is now underway. Explore Kure, eat at participating restaurants, and collect stickers to earn exclusive Puyo Puyo-designed goods.

New Fish Cake: "Puyo Kama"

A new fish cake product called "Puyo Kama" combines fun visuals with great taste. It features a soft, springy texture and gentle flavor, with the cute eye pattern printed using "flavonoids," a natural pigment found in vegetables and fruits.
"Puyo Puyo Manju" 35th Anniversary Package

The existing "Puyo Puyo Manju" returns with a special 35th anniversary key visual package. One of six 35th anniversary theme art stickers is included at random.

The Puyo Puyo series has been enjoyed worldwide for over 30 years since the original game launched in 1991.
