Randy's Donuts, the Los Angeles donut shop that now operates in Japan, is teaming up with the select shop FREAK’S STORE and the character Monchhichi for a triple collaboration. The new donut "MONCHHICHI RAISED" goes on sale for a limited time from Saturday, October 24, 2026.
About Randy's Donuts
Randy's Donuts is a popular donut shop that opened in Los Angeles in 1952. A giant donut-shaped sign about 10 meters (32 feet) in diameter sits on the roof of the first U.S. location and has long been a symbol of the city. It has appeared in popular movies and music videos, and is widely known as a Los Angeles landmark.
Japan's first location, "Randy's Donuts Shibuya Daikanyama," had its grand opening in May 2025. A giant donut-shaped sign about 4 meters in diameter, the brand's symbol, stands in front of the store. Inside, a large showcase about 3 meters high and 2.7 meters wide displays up to about 1,000 handmade donuts made fresh daily, in more than 40 varieties. The store has drawn plenty of attention.
The brand has since opened stores at Shinjuku Station in September 2025, Tokyo Station in December 2025, Yurakucho in March 2026, Ikebukuro Station in April 2026, Meguro Station in May 2026 and Shibuya Station in June 2026. A new store, "Randy's Donuts Tokyo Skytree Town Solamachi," is scheduled to open on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

A yeast donut coated in white icing and topped with colorful chocolate candy and an original Monchhichi chocolate plate. Monchhichi peeks out of the donut hole, sticking out its tongue and winking in a playful design that captures the charm that has been loved across generations for more than 50 years.

Monchhichi x Randy's Donuts Plush Charm - ¥2,999
A special twin-tail version of the popular "Kaodeka Monchhichi" (Big-Face Monchhichi) series. The bib features the same graphic as the aprons worn by Randy's Donuts staff, and the gold ball chain carries a FREAK’S STORE name tag, so the details have been carefully considered. Limit of one per customer.

Three types of plush charms modeled on Randy's Donuts' colorful donuts. They can be enjoyed as key chains as they are, or attached to a "Kaodeka Monchhichi" so that it peeks out cutely from the donut. The charms can be swapped to match your mood.
Monchhichi x Randy's Donuts Key Charm - ¥3,993
A jingly charm packed with motifs from both Monchhichi and Randy's Donuts. It combines sparkling Monchhichi-kun and Monchhichi-chan with the Randy's Donuts logo, a three-dimensional donut, colorful beads and a heart-shaped carabiner. Attached to a bag or pouch, it adds an accent to any outfit.

About Monchhichi
Monchhichi was released by Sekiguchi in 1974. The character started as a plush toy with a thumb-sucking pose and freckles. The body is a plush toy, while the face, hands and feet are made of soft vinyl. At the time it was considered a completely new kind of doll and set off an explosive boom after its release. Exports began the following year, and Monchhichi became popular around the world. It has continued to be loved by many fans and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2024.
Monchhichi has kept changing with the times, and since its release it has sold more than 100 million units in over 30 countries.
