Netmarble has rolled out a major update for its MMORPG RF ONLINE NEXT (developed by Netmarble N2 Inc.), adding a new region called Lavaron and a brand-new Chapter 12.
The update opens Chapter 12 and introduces Lavaron, a new region within the Sindrey Archipelago. Progressing through Chapter 12 unlocks a new world map area to explore, along with a variety of exploration content including Exploration Points, Viewpoints, Memory Chips, Collections, and special collectible items.
Chapter 12: New Quests and Rewards
Chapter 12 adds a new main quest and national quest, along with sub-quests, daily missions, and contract missions, letting players continue the story while taking on new adventures and challenges. The update also implements Chapter 12 achievements, Trigon Dimension Monsters, and 17 pieces of T6 Hero Grade equipment (8 weapons, 5 armor, and 4 accessories). This content is available to players who have cleared the Chapter 11.5 main quest.
7-Day Login Event
To mark the Chapter 12 update, a 7-Day Login Event is being held. Players who log in for seven consecutive days during the event period can earn a range of rewards, including a [Hero] Weapon Appearance Case on the final day.
New Field Bosses: Sondador and Hydra
Two new field bosses, Sondador and Hydra, have also appeared. Defeating these powerful bosses lets players obtain equipment unique to each one.

Limited-Time Event Dungeon: Treasure Ship Coast
A limited-time event dungeon, Treasure Ship Coast, is also being held. Each day at 5:00 AM (JST), players are granted a base usage time of 60 minutes, which can be extended using an (Event) Treasure Ship Coast Stay Extension Ticket. In addition to large amounts of experience, players can earn event currency, upgrade kits, and CR Cards.
New Costumes
A new costume, Cheering Roar, is planned, along with a summer-themed swimsuit costume called Ocean Breeze.
New Rova Appearances
New appearances for Rova, Unipop and Shooting Ball, have also been added.
New Feature: Story Book
The update also adds a new Story Book feature within the Memory Chip menu. The Story Book is unlocked only after all Memory Chip fragments for the corresponding chapter have been registered; some fragments can be obtained by completing specific quests.
