Two new champions, Senna and Thresh, have been added to Riot Games' free-to-play 2v2 team-based fighting game 2XKO (available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC) on June 10. A new PvE mode called "The Climb" has also launched alongside them.
New Champion: Senna, Sentinel of Light
Senna, the Sentinel of Light, is cursed by darkness and can unleash her legendary Relic Cannon at enemies, pressing the attack as a wraith of the Black Mist. By switching between two forms, she is capable of saving fallen souls with remarkable effectiveness. This battle-hardened Sentinel of Light joins 2XKO on June 10.
New Champion: Thresh, the Chain Warden
Cunning and calculating, Thresh is an evil specter who takes sadistic pleasure in the suffering of others, trapping their souls in his lantern and tormenting them for eternity. He attacks from unpredictable angles using his chains, teleports with his lantern, and summons captured souls to provide support. His wicked schemes unfold in 2XKO starting June 10.
Both Senna and Thresh are immediately available for 1,000 KO Points or 1 Champion Token each. They can also be unlocked for free through a shared 4-week "Champion Unlock Event." After the 4-week period, both champions will be purchasable for 10,000 Credits. Since the two characters unlock simultaneously, the process takes approximately 50% longer than a standard unlock event.
All champions are freely playable in Training Mode and Offline Mode without purchasing, allowing players to try out the new champions before unlocking them.
PvE Mode: The Climb
The Climb is a new PvE mode that can be tackled with friends. Players fight against randomly appearing CPU-controlled characters and, upon defeating them, unlock augments that change their playstyle. Some augments are powerful, while others are more unconventional — the mode encourages experimenting with different champion builds.
Completing The Climb-exclusive missions earns special rewards such as base chromas, avatar items, and stickers.
