Risonare Kohamajima, the private island beach resort in the Yaeyama Islands of Okinawa, will hold the "うつろい絶景ディナー" (Twilight Spectacular Dinner) for the second year running, from September 15 to October 31, 2026. Limited to just one group per evening, the dinner takes place on a hilltop seat at the adjacent Kohamajima Country Club golf course — a spot where guests watch the sun sink behind Iriomote Island, then look up as the sky fills with stars. This year's edition adds champagne and wine pairings and a brand-new dessert cocktail made with Okinawan awamori.
Feature 1: A Front-Row Seat for the Sky's Transformation — One Group Per Night

The venue is a dedicated seat on a rise within the Kohamajima Country Club golf course, with nothing to interrupt a sweeping panorama of the Yaeyama archipelago. As the amber light of sunset fades into dusk and eventually gives way to a dense spread of stars, one group has the entire sky to themselves. A gentle autumn breeze adds to the sense of being far from everyday life.
Feature 2: A Short-Course Dinner Showcasing Yaeyama Ingredients

The dinner menu features a short course built around local Yaeyama produce. The main dish is a steak wrapped and roasted in 月桃 (gettou / shell ginger) leaves, which impart a fresh, fragrant aroma unique to the plant. Dessert includes a panna cotta made with ジーマミー豆腐 (jimami tofu, a peanut-based Okinawan specialty), blending local flavors into a celebration of the occasion.
Feature 3: Wine Pairing and a New Awamori Dessert Cocktail Under the Stars

Drinks are matched to each course, progressing from champagne through to wine. New for 2026, the dinner closes with an original cocktail crafted to prolong the evening: awamori (an Okinawan distilled spirit) forms the base, joined by mango and other tropical fruits plus ヒパーチ (hipaachi / island pepper) spice — a fitting send-off under a starlit sky.
