GRAND CHARIOT 北斗七星135°, the official hotel of Nijigen no Mori on Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture, is adding a new guest-only dinner menu to its two Monster Hunter collaboration rooms — the Gathering Hall Cocoon (集会所のコクーン) and the My House Cocoon (マイハウスのコクーン). Starting July 14, 2026 (Tuesday), guests staying in either room can order the "Well-done Steak" BBQ, modeled after the well-known in-game item from the Monster Hunter series.
Guests grill their own bone-in cuts of meat at the table, much like hunters do in the games, and staff perform the games' cheerful "meat well-done" jingle (「上手に焼けました~♪」) live at the moment the meat finishes cooking. The plan is designed as a summer-only stay experience that lets guests take in the world of Monster Hunter through taste, sound, and touch.
"Well-done Steak" BBQ Overview

The "Well-done Steak," a memorable item for many hunters throughout the Monster Hunter series, is recreated here as a bone-in cut that guests grill themselves, gauging the ideal doneness with friends or family, for an experience reminiscent of stepping into the game's world.

Monster Hunter Bridge Coming to Awaji Island in Fiscal Year 2027

Also confirmed is the arrival of "Monster Hunter Bridge," an immersive, experience-based Monster Hunter attraction, to Awaji Island sometime during fiscal year 2027.
"Monster Hunter Bridge" was previously exhibited at the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, drawing around 100,000 visitors. The attraction combines AR devices, a 360-degree theater, immersive sound, and floor vibration for an immersive experience that captivated many attendees.
This summer, guests can immerse themselves in the world of Monster Hunter by staying in a collaboration room, with a new immersive experience to follow on the island in fiscal year 2027.
About the Monster Hunter Collaboration Rooms

GRAND CHARIOT 北斗七星135°, the official hotel of Nijigen no Mori on Awaji Island, offers two types of collaboration rooms recreating the world of the Monster Hunter series. The rooms were produced under the supervision of Capcom Co., Ltd., including Ryozo Tsujimoto, producer of the Monster Hunter series, and recreate the world of the games down to fine detail.
Gathering Hall Cocoon

The Gathering Hall Cocoon sleeps up to 4 guests — just as the in-game 集会所 (Gathering Hall) accommodates a full hunting party. Its living room houses the "Nijigen no Mori Special Gaming Booth," equipped with 24.5-inch monitors, Secretlab gaming chairs in a Monster Hunter collaboration design*, Wi-Fi, and a PlayStation®5 Pro, letting guests enjoy Monster Hunter Wilds in comfort alongside a luxurious stay. The room's interior features patterns drawn from the games, and Arkveld, the lead monster of Monster Hunter Wilds, appears to greet guests.
Guest-only benefits:
- Gaming experience at the Nijigen no Mori Special Gaming Booth: the booth accommodates up to 4 guests at once, each with a 24.5-inch monitor and a top-of-the-line Secretlab gaming chair — the same brand used at e-sports tournaments worldwide — plus a PlayStation®5 Pro and a copy of Monster Hunter Wilds on hand at all times
- A "Guest-Only Special Quest": a hunt for items hidden throughout the collaboration room
- An in-room minibar (original champagne, local craft beer, soft drinks, and more)
Novelties (one per room unless noted):
- Hunter equipment-style waist bag
- Hunter's Notebook-style key case
- Palico equipment-style room hoodie (two per room)
Price: From ¥50,518 per person, based on 4 guests sharing one room (includes dinner and breakfast; tax and service included, and includes the novelties and guest-only benefits above)
My House Cocoon

The My House Cocoon sleeps up to 2 guests. As in the games' マイハウス (My House), Palicos appear throughout the room, recreating a hunter's daily life alongside their feline companions. The room is also furnished with items and weapons that let guests feel like a hunter themselves, including small barrels, a wyvern egg, and an iron hammer.

About GRAND CHARIOT 北斗七星135°

GRAND CHARIOT 北斗七星135° features 23 guest rooms designed as cocoon-like spaces, with skylights over 5 meters high offering sweeping views of the morning sun and starry sky. Dining is supervised by Master Chef Haruyuki Yamashita, who operates 13 restaurants in Japan and abroad, and highlights ingredients from Awaji Island, long known as "Miketsukuni," a province that historically supplied food to the imperial court.
Dinner

Guests can enjoy a New Japanese cuisine course supervised by Chef Yamashita, who has been named Master Chef at the World Gourmet Summit — where the world's top chefs gather — in two consecutive tournaments, and who embodies "New Japanese cuisine" that draws out the essence of each ingredient. The course centers on a "Gokujou BBQ," or "exquisite BBQ," enjoyed on a scenic terrace, featuring 200g of Awaji beef (of which only around 200 head are certified annually on Awaji Island) and a whole Awaji-grown onion, among other seasonal ingredients. Ingredients may vary by season. If the day's chance of rain is 50% or higher, the course is switched to the popular Awaji Beef Sansai Tomato Sukiyaki instead.
Baths
All rooms are equipped with a private hinoki (Japanese cypress) bath, letting guests unwind in the refreshing scent of cypress wood.
