Sayama Ski Area's "Super Water Fest" Brings Daily Splashing Fun, a New Wide Slider, and Snow Play This Summer

Sayama Ski Area in Tokorozawa, Saitama is currently hosting its ocean-themed "2026 Water Fest", held under the concept "The Ocean Comes to Tokorozawa! Sea Creatures Gather!" Starting Friday, July 10 through Monday, August 31, the park moves to daily operation as the "Super Water Fest," packed with new attractions and a full summer events lineup.

The "Super Water Fest" introduces a brand-new inflatable attraction, the "Wide Slider," from Saturday, July 18, along with the opening of the "Cool Area," where guests can play in real snow—a specialty only a ski resort can offer—plus a limited-time "Snow Scattering Experience."

To mark the Saitama Seibu Lions' "Aofes 2026" campaign, the park also extends its operating hours on select dates and welcomes special guest appearances by the Lions' official mascot Leo and by Kaoru and Nagisa, a sister idol duo born from the shopping street at Seibuen Amusement Park.

On Monday, July 20 (Marine Day), the park hosts a "Sea Day Special Day" filled with ocean-themed content for the first big memory of summer vacation, and every visitor that day (excluding children age 2 and under) receives a coupon good for a future visit during the "2026 Water Fest."

Throughout summer vacation, TV Saitama presents the "Teretama-kun Special Day," featuring TV broadcasts and live recordings, along with concerts and events featuring guests such as Mentai Park's Dr. Tarakon, workshops including a "Sea Creature Cardboard Hat" activity for kids' summer projects, and cooling kitchen-car food options.

With plenty of ways to feel the ocean without leaving Tokorozawa, Sayama Ski Area is a great spot to enjoy summer leisure with family and friends this year.
