A special day filled with the thunderous beats of Oni-Daiko drums and the passion of "Fagi Red" arrives at Mori no Machi Grace in central Okayama City on February 1, 2026 (Sunday).
Mori no Machi Grace, located in the heart of Okayama City (Shimoishii, Kita Ward, Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture | Operated by Ryobi Holdings Co., Ltd. | https://www.morinomachi-grace.jp/), welcomes a hot day that blows away the winter chill on February 1, 2026.
With the pop-up shop of Fagiano Okayama ahead of the new season opening, the town is wrapped in the anticipation of "Fagi Red." On this day, traditional melodies that further heat up the venue arrive: Chayamachi Oni-Daiko, a traditional performing art from Kurashiki that has continued since the Edo period.
The heartbeat of demons who ward off evil with powerful drumstick handling and wish for healthy days. And children looking up at the sky to grab good fortune in the traditional "Candy Rain from the Forest." Enjoy a special Setsubun unique to the bustling Mori no Machi, coloring the seasonal turning point.
Oni-Daiko Performance and "Candy Rain from the Forest" Setsubun Version
The event prays for good health and warding off evil for the year alongside the powerful performance of the demons. After the powerful drum sounds echo, the much-awaited "candy throwing" by children begins. Some of the beans and candies falling from the sky include 500 yen discount vouchers that can be used only on the day at Mori no Machi Plaza 1st and 2nd floors, and DEAN & DELUCA Okayama. After catching good fortune, you can enjoy meals and shopping at a discount.
Also, after the "candy throwing," time will be provided for experiencing powerful drum performances and taking commemorative photos with the impressive demons.

About Chayamachi Oni-Daiko Preservation Society
Formed in 1983 to inherit the "demon" culture that has lived in Chayamachi, Kurashiki City, since the Edo period. They musically depict the legend of "Ura" passed down in Okayama. The soul of Ura, who was elevated to a deity protecting villages after a fierce battle with Kibitsuhiko no Mikoto, is embedded in each strike, wearing demon masks with sharp eyes and wielding drumsticks freely in the "ranuchi" style unique to Chayamachi Oni-Daiko. The sound, filled with wishes for good health and warding off evil, is highly praised not only in Japan but also overseas as a folk performing art representing Okayama Prefecture.
