Sgt. Frog is a hugely popular series by manga artist Mine Yoshizaki, serialized in Monthly Shonen Ace (published by KADOKAWA) since 1999.
The TV anime began airing in April 2004. On April 1, 2024, the 20th anniversary of the broadcast, the official YouTube channel announced the relaunch of a new anime project to mark the milestone.
Then, on June 26, 2026, the latest theatrical film, 新劇場版☆ケロロ軍曹 復活して速攻地球滅亡の危機であります！, was released — the first new film in 16 years since 2010. A new TV anime series, ケロロ軍曹☆, has also been announced to begin airing in fall 2026.
