Shibuya Sakura Stage Hosts Shibuya Sakuragaoka Sakura Matsuri 2026

The Shibuya Sakuragaoka Sakura Matsuri is set to run from March 27 (Friday) through April 5 (Sunday), 2026, centered around Shibuya Sakura Stage and the wider Sakuragaoka area in Shibuya. The outdoor event space "Nigiwai STAGE" and event space "BLOOM GATE" will serve as the main venues, with a variety of seasonal programs celebrating the cherry blossom season.

Event Highlights

Sakura Miku × Shibuya Sakura Stage

A special pop-up event featuring Sakura Miku — a cherry blossom-themed derivative of the virtual singer Hatsune Miku — comes to the BLOOM GATE event space on the 3rd floor of Shibuya Sakura Stage. Exclusive merchandise and collaboration drinks will be available, along with a stamp rally throughout the facility. Participating shops inside the building are also offering purchase bonuses (must-buy campaign) during this 10-day run.

Sakura Pan Matsuri 2026

Bread critic and "Panlabo" founder Hiroaki Ikeda has curated an artisan bread festival bringing together some of Tokyo's finest bakeries, as well as shops from the Kansai and Kyushu regions.

Jember Fashion Carnaval

Through the initiative of Nihon Keizai University, which has a campus inside Shibuya Sakura Stage, the internationally acclaimed "Jember Fashion Carnaval" from East Java, Indonesia makes its Japan debut at the festival. The carnaval has captivated the world with its spectacular costumes and grand parades since its founding in 2003, and has previously toured France and Singapore.

Japan's Finest Sake – Sakura Chapter (Pop-up Shop)

A pop-up shop themed around the "arrival of spring and new beginnings" features a curated selection of domestic wines and Japanese sake in shades of cherry blossom pink.

Town Beautification Exhibition

An exhibition on the history of the Shibuya Station neighborhood beautification movement, presented in collaboration with multiple research groups from the University of Tokyo.
