tetoteo is a new baked sweets brand launched by Sanmanseki, a confectionery maker based in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture. Built around the concept of "delivering kindness from hand to hand," the brand creates sweets meant to be shared with someone you care about. For a limited time, tetoteo is making its first-ever appearance at Daimaru Umeda Store, where its signature treat — tetoteo Kurumie — will be available alongside two popular classics from Sanmanseki.
A Gentle Taste That Warms the Heart with Each Bite
The highlight of the pop-up is tetoteo Kurumie, a baked confection crafted to let the natural flavor of walnuts shine. Roasted walnuts are enrobed in caramel, then sandwiched in a rich dough made with almond powder and butter. The toasty aroma of walnuts and the deep sweetness of caramel unfold slowly with each bite, leaving a lingering and satisfying aftertaste — a perfect companion for teatime.

Sanmanseki, celebrating its 80th anniversary this year, brings two of its beloved signature confections to the pop-up alongside tetoteo. Mamadoru is a baked sweet with milk-flavored bean paste wrapped in a buttery dough. Ekison Pie features walnut-filled bean paste baked inside a flaky pie crust. Both treats carry the same gentle, timeless flavor that has kept fans coming back for decades.
