URBAN RESEARCH Co., Ltd. presents TINY GARDEN FESTIVAL 2026, a three-day outdoor festival, is scheduled to take place from Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 7, 2026, at TINY GARDEN 蓼科 URBAN RESEARCH DOORS, a campground nestled along the shores of Tateshina Lake in Nagano. The festival's concept remains unchanged — a garden party in a small backyard — offering a variety of programs spanning clothing, food, housing, and play for families and individuals alike.
New this year is a pre-night festival on the evening of June 5 (Friday), giving attendees the opportunity to ease into the weekend in nature before the main two-day program begins.
The key visual for this year's festival was created by Tateshina-based illustrator Ryo Takemasa as an original commission, capturing the atmosphere of TINY GARDEN 蓼科 URBAN RESEARCH DOORS and the blend of diverse activities that take place there.
Ryo Takemasa
An illustrator based in Tateshina. After graduating from Musashino Art University in 2010, he went freelance. He produces illustrations for a wide range of fields including publishing, advertising, and packaging, both in Japan and internationally.

LIVE Artist: Orisaka Yuta Confirmed
Singer-songwriter Orisaka Yuta has been announced as the first confirmed live act for TINY GARDEN FESTIVAL 2026. Born in Tottori and raised in Chiba, he began performing solo acoustic sets in 2013 and participated in the founding of "Noroshi Records" in 2015. His 1st album "Tamuke" was released in 2016, followed by the 2nd album "Heisei" in October 2018, which incorporated elements of folk songs, jazz, and Latin music and received widespread acclaim. In June 2024, he released his 4th album "Jumon." He has also contributed songs to commercials and films, and made his debut on NHK's "Minna no Uta" in spring 2025 with "Yamanba Mambo."

Pre-Night Festival (June 5)
The evening before the main festival, overnight guests can gather around a campfire and enjoy an outdoor dining experience featuring light food and drinks from local Nagano restaurants. It's a chance to tune into the natural surroundings of Tateshina before the bustle of the main event begins.

TINY GARDEN 蓼科 is located about two and a half hours from Tokyo — follow a 30-minute drive from the expressway with the Yatsugatake mountains in view, and you'll reach Tateshina Lake, the gateway to Tateshina Highlands.
