A New Film Experience Born from Technology and Storytelling

Co-organized by the Institute of Industrial Science, The University of Tokyo and the Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts, Tokyo Immersive Film Festival 2026 is billed as Japan's largest immersive film festival.

The festival presents innovative immersive works shown at international film festivals around the world, including Festival de Cannes and the Venice International Film Festival, along with advanced research results from institutions such as The University of Tokyo and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS).

Artists, researchers, and audiences gather at the festival to explore the future of immersive media and spatial storytelling together. By merging art, science, and human experience, it aims to create new emotion and empathy that connect people beyond the concepts of time and space.
