New Tokyo Souvenir "Tokyo Kare-gumi Curry Senbei" Now on Sale at All JAL PLAZA Stores in Haneda Airport

A new Tokyo souvenir, "Tokyo Kare-gumi Curry Senbei" (東京咖喱組 咖喱せんべい), is now available at all 10 JAL PLAZA stores inside Haneda Airport as of June 1, 2026. The product was developed by JALUX and introduces a savory new addition to the Tokyo souvenir lineup.

Thin Rice Crackers Layered with an Original Curry Filling

"Tokyo Kare-gumi Curry Senbei" features thinly baked, 100% domestic-rice (non-glutinous rice) crackers layered with an original curry filling made by blending multiple spices — including turmeric and cumin. The construction, sandwiching curry filling between two thin crackers in a "layered" style, gives this souvenir a contemporary edge.

The light texture and subtle saltiness of the crackers complement the rich aroma and deep umami of the spiced filling, delivering a satisfying experience reminiscent of a bowl of curry rice in a single bite. The flavor is crafted to keep you reaching for more.

About Tokyo Kare-gumi

"Tokyo Kare-gumi" is a new Tokyo souvenir brand dedicated to sharing the flavor of curry through careful, artisanal preparation.

The brand's main visual depicts six figures inspired by Edo-era firefighters ("Edo no Hikeshi"), each raising a large ladle, symbolizing the mission to spread the robust taste of curry throughout the city. The brand name uses the kanji "咖喱" (kare) — the original Chinese-character spelling of "curry" used when the dish first arrived in Japan. The circular motif in the logo represents unity and the aspiration to carry the brand's flavors far and wide.
