TOMYTEC (a TakaraTomy Group company) is releasing a new model in its TOMICA LIMITED VINTAGE adult collector's minicar lineup: the TOMICA LIMITED VINTAGE NEO LV-N370a Tokyu SW2Z2 Road Sweeper (Yellow). Priced at ¥24,200 (tax included), the model is scheduled to go on sale in August 2026. Pre-orders opened on March 12, 2026 at 4:00 PM at hobby online retailers, hobby sections of mass-market retailers, and minicar specialty stores nationwide.
Most Moving Parts in the TOMICA LIMITED VINTAGE Series
This is the first time a road sweeper has appeared in the TOMICA LIMITED VINTAGE lineup. The model recreates the SW2Z2 type by Tokyu Sharyo (now Toho Sharyo Co., Ltd.), a representative road sweeper model still in active use today, based on detailed real-vehicle research.

The bucket section and various brushes are all made movable, giving this model the highest number of moving gimmicks in the entire TOMICA LIMITED VINTAGE series. The rear wheels — which angle outward in a reverse inverted-V shape for tight turning radius — also feature the first-ever steering mechanism in any TOMICA LIMITED VINTAGE product.
Beyond the moving parts, the model is finished to the series' usual standards: a diecast body and chassis, soft rubber tires, electrostatic-painted bodywork, tampo-printed markings, and detailed interior.
What Is a Three-Wheeled Road Sweeper?
Road sweepers, also known as "road sweepers," use rotating brushes to remove dirt from road surfaces and play a central role in maintaining safe traffic conditions. The three-wheeled variety, prized for its maneuverability in narrow alleyways and areas with heavy roadside parking, is widely used in urban environments.

These vehicles operate mainly at night or in the early morning when traffic is light, so opportunities to observe them up close are rare — but their distinctive shape and operating sound make them hard to miss.
Bucket Gimmick
The front bucket section, which collects dirt and dust, moves up and down, and the lid section opens and closes.

Front Brush Gimmick
The front brushes move left and right, and the brush section itself can also rotate.

Center Brush Gimmick
The center brush moves up and down, and the brush section can also rotate.

Rear Wheel Steering Gimmick
The rear wheels feature the first-ever steering mechanism in the TOMICA LIMITED VINTAGE series.
