Exceptionally High 2% Human-Type Ceramide Content for a Serum
Skin prone to dryness and instability often lacks ceramide — the key component of the stratum corneum barrier — leaving it unable to maintain adequate barrier function. The Barrier Shot Serum 2.0 uses human-type ceramide, which has a structure close to that found naturally in the skin and is therefore highly compatible with it. The ceramide is incorporated at 2% — a concentration considered exceptional for a serum — providing a more substantial barrier-supporting approach for those who have found lower-concentration products insufficient.
The ceramide is also nanotized to penetrate more quickly into the gaps of the stratum corneum, delivering moisture deep where it is needed.

100nm Nano-Penetration Technology Reaches Every Corner of the Stratum Corneum
Simply incorporating ceramide is not enough — delivering it effectively to the skin is equally important. To maximize the effectiveness of human-type ceramide, highly refined petrolatum, and other active ingredients, the particles have been reduced to 100nm — approximately one-thousandth the size of a pore.

These tiny particles penetrate into the stratum corneum, working to fill the gaps left by insufficient ceramide with barrier-supporting ingredients. The formulation is designed not merely to replenish, but to actively deliver key components to where they are most needed.

High-Concentration Ectoin to Attract and Lock in Moisture
The serum also contains ectoin — an ingredient known for its strong moisturizing properties — at the concentration recommended by the raw material manufacturer, alongside amino acids, inositol oligosaccharides, phosphoryl oligosaccharides, and other moisturizing ingredients. The formulation is designed around a three-step moisture cycle: attracting moisture, locking it in, and maintaining it over time.
Rather than offering only temporary hydration, the serum supports a skin environment where moisture persists, leading to a supple and stable complexion.
