As part of Filmarks' "Filmarks 90's" project that brings classic 90s films back to theaters, Trainspotting - the iconic 1990s British youth culture film directed by Danny Boyle and starring Ewan McGregor - will have a 2-week limited revival screening at theaters nationwide starting Friday, January 30.

To celebrate the revival screening of Trainspotting, a club event called "CCC Presents 1996: Trainspotting 30th Anniversary" will be held on Saturday, January 31 at Shibuya's Spotify O-EAST as part of the club night series "MIDNIGHT EAST." The event focuses on the 90s British music culture that was central to the film.
Curated by CCC, a Tokyo-based collective that expands the possibilities of club spaces, the event brings together DJs and live acts leading Japan's current club scene.
The first lineup announcement features Albino Sound (Hybrid set), arow, Mars89, TEI TEI, and 7e.
This event marks the 30th anniversary of Trainspotting's release and bridges the cultures of film and music.
The event will be held on Saturday, January 31, the day after the revival screening begins on Friday, January 30. Attendees who present their Trainspotting movie ticket stub at the entrance will receive one complimentary drink.
From those who experienced club music in real time during the 90s to today's generation enjoying it now, guests can release the afterglow, impulse, and sense of speed left in their bodies right after watching the film onto the dance floor - creating a musical experience that continues directly from the screening.
Since its 1996 release, Trainspotting continues to influence not only film but also music, fashion, and many other cultural areas. Join us for a night of renewed excitement in Tokyo's Shibuya, 30 years later.
*Note: There will be no film screening at this event.

Mark Renton and his friends are heroin addicts. Begbie loves fighting. Spud is a well-meaning coward. Sick Boy is a womanizer. And there's Diane, a middle school girl who's into sex and drugs. After being arrested for theft, fraud, and shoplifting, Renton decides to turn his life around. He moves to London and gets a job. But Begbie and Sick Boy, who are wanted for robbery, show up and he gets fired. When he returns home, a friend has died from drug overdose. In overwhelming despair, Renton and his friends take a gamble to change their lives. They buy a large amount of drugs from a dealer to sell in London for a big profit. Big money and a new life. Will they be able to get it?
