Tokyo's neighborhood sento, or public bathhouses, have long served as gathering spots for the local community. As part of the Tokyo Sento Culture Outreach Project, which shares the appeal of that culture with visitors from Japan and abroad, the "TRY A TOKYO SENTO" campaign kicked off on September 1 and is now rolling out new content on its campaign site.

Under the catchphrase "TOKYO'S OLDEST SOCIAL NETWORK," the campaign frames Tokyo's sento as places where people have connected with one another since the Edo period, introducing them to visitors from Japan and abroad as a new destination for experiencing Edo-era culture in Tokyo.
The newest addition to the campaign site is a link to a video in which Taiwanese creator Machi (鄭羽婷) experiences a Tokyo sento.
From Friday, September 18, a video introducing the appeal of Tokyo's sento will also go up on the campaign site, to be followed by a sento experience article at the end of September. Together, these will take a closer look at how to enjoy sento the Tokyo way, including perspectives from visitors coming to Tokyo from overseas.

The campaign is also sharing the appeal of Tokyo's sento through social media, enlisting Machi (鄭羽婷), a Taiwan-born model, company employee, and creator based in Tokyo who shares information connecting Japan and Taiwan. Since Tuesday, September 1, videos of her visiting a Tokyo sento and introducing its appeal from her own perspective have been released one after another on social media.
