UNITED ARROWS and GMO AI&Robotics Corporation (GMO AIR), a GMO Internet Group company that promotes the real-world implementation of AI and robotics, have jointly developed original wear for humanoid robots. The companies begin accepting requests on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
This is the first time UNITED ARROWS has made wear for humanoid robots. Drawing on the knowledge built through making clothes for people, the wear takes into account the body structure, range of motion and heat dissipation specific to humanoid robots, and aims to give them an outfit that people can feel familiar with in society.
The wear is planned to be sold at GMO AIR's official shop "GMOヒューマノイド.shop" and at real-world events such as pop-ups.

Background
As a future approaches in which humanoid robots are used in stores, facilities and other places where they meet people, not only the performance of the machine but also the "appearance" that helps people feel at ease around it has become a new theme.
UNITED ARROWS has long proposed, through clothing, how people are seen and how they behave in society. By combining a fashion perspective with GMO AIR's work on the real-world implementation of humanoid robots, the two companies began co-developing wear exclusively for humanoid robots, as an initiative to think about a new relationship between people and robots.
Development started with UNITED ARROWS designers and GMO AIR robot engineers working together to examine an actual unit and verify conditions that differ from those of humans, such as size, range of motion and heat dissipation. The team pursued outfits that give humanoid robots a sense of familiarity and individuality while ensuring functionality.
About the Original Wear
The wear is an original UNITED ARROWS design, developed with the movements and silhouette of humanoid robots in mind. The design concepts are "unisex" and "uniform", and the lineup consists of four items: a jacket, pants, a T-shirt and a scarf.
During development, dealing with a body structure and range of motion different from those of humans was a major challenge.
Development Points
- The team sought a balance that looks good as clothing while avoiding interference with the joints and gears.
- Heat countermeasures were also considered, including measures such as omitting the lining.
- A light gray that blends with the metallic texture of the unit was chosen, aiming for an outfit that harmonizes with humanoid robots.
