The concept store V.A. is releasing ERRA (エラ), a new line directed by fashion directors Keiji Kaneko (金子恵治) and Daisuke Genma (源馬大輔), on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
The name ERRA combines "ERA" (a period of time) and "ERROR" (a mistake). Starting from a basic wardrobe, the line reinterprets the "B-grade" errors and the sense of incongruity that can arise in garment-making as design. At first glance the pieces look basic, but a closer look shows that something is slightly off. With respect for the basic and the authentic as its core, the line unpicks the context and details of existing clothes and deliberately passes them through a "mistake" filter, rebuilding familiar items from a new perspective. The subtle "errors" are built into things such as inside-out construction, the placement of parts and the use of materials.
Kaneko and Genma took long-loved basic wear as the base and designed it with reversals such as inside-out and mirror-image treatments. The sense of incongruity that comes from deviating just slightly from existing rules has been shaped into pieces that work as fashion.
The first collection is built on a basic wardrobe and consists of two shirt styles, a T-shirt, a sweatshirt and a cap. The items were designed by adding and subtracting errors while keeping a balance as fashion. The lineup includes a shirt that looks like a dress shirt even though its button-down buttonholes do not let the buttons pass through, as well as a cap and T-shirts with mirror-image graphics that look right in a mirror or in a selfie but feel off when viewed normally.
The first collection of ERRA is about the fun of finding the small "incongruities" hidden in an everyday wardrobe. The items are available at the V.A. store and the online store.

About the Directors
Keiji Kaneko (金子恵治)
A fashion director. After working as a buyer at a select shop, he went independent and was involved in the launch of L'ECHOPPE. In 2022 he opened the select shop BOUTIQUE in Kita-Aoyama. He directs and collaborates with a number of brands in Japan and abroad.
Daisuke Genma (源馬大輔)
He began his career as a buyer at BROWNS in London. After returning to Japan in 2002, he went independent in 2007 and founded his own office, Daisuke Genma Office (源馬大輔事務所). He works across a wide range of fields, including creative direction, store direction, interior design, music and fashion. In 2021 he launched Case Study, and since 2023 he has belonged to rush production and also works as a DJ.
