Kendama Shop Yume., a kendama specialty store in Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima Prefecture, has moved and reopened under a new name, Yume. Kendama Place, with its grand opening on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The new location is about a 2-minute walk from JR Hatsukaichi Station, and the store is run by Iwata Co., Ltd. (株式会社イワタ木工).
The new Yume. Kendama Place is more than a shop that sells kendama. It has four areas where visitors can enjoy kendama from different angles: choosing, playing, learning and making, and connecting. The aim is to create a place where anyone can casually enjoy kendama, from beginners to experienced players, from children to adults, and from local residents to visitors from overseas.
The store is also the direct-sales shop for MUGEN MUSOU, a kendama brand made in Hatsukaichi. In addition to the regular lineup, store-exclusive models available only at Yume. Kendama Place will also be sold.
Operation of Yume. Kendama School, where people can learn kendama in a fun way, has also started in October 2026.
Through kendama, people meet and connect, and the fun and culture of kendama spread. From Yume. Kendama Place, new ways to enjoy kendama and its possibilities will be shared in Japan and abroad.

Kendama Shop Yume. has delivered kendama to many customers as a kendama specialty store. With the relocation, the name was changed to Yume. Kendama Place, reflecting the kind of place it wants to create from now on.
With just one kendama, people can play together regardless of age, language, or nationality. People share the joy of landing a trick, strangers who have just met teach one another, and conversations start around the same kendama. Kendama has the power to naturally bring people closer together.
That is why the word "Place" was chosen instead of "Shop."
Rather than a store only for buying products, the goal is a place where people who love kendama, people trying it for the first time, children, adults, local residents, and visitors from overseas can gather and find their own way to enjoy it. Through the encounters and experiences that happen here, kendama culture is expected to spread even further, and the store hopes to grow into a new hub for sharing kendama culture.

This is the sales area, featuring MUGEN MUSOU, an in-house brand from Hatsukaichi, along with kendama selected from around the world.
Visitors can look at and hold many different types of kendama to choose one that suits them. For those who are unsure which kendama to pick, the staff explain the features and differences of each and help with the selection.
In addition to the MUGEN MUSOU lineup, store-exclusive models available only at Yume. Kendama Place are also sold.
2. Yume. PLAY: Experience and Enjoy Kendama
This playful play area features eye-catching three-dimensional wall art with a kendama motif.

3. Yume. LAB: Make and Explore Your Own Kendama
This customization area lets visitors make an original kendama by freely combining the parts they like.
By freely combining the parts and colors of the ken and tama (the stick and the ball), visitors can create a kendama that is truly their own. Beyond appearance, they can enjoy the differences that come from different ken and tama combinations while searching for the one that suits them.
4. Yume. PARK: An Open Plaza Where People Gather, Play, and Connect

Outside the store, "Yume. PARK" is open for anyone to drop in.
