In Sasebo, the Shika-machi area reflects its U.S. naval base influence, featuring a vibrant bar culture with jazz bars and cocktail lounges offering an international atmosphere. In regional towns like Shimabara and the Goto Islands, seafood izakayas and shochu-focused pubs provide a laid-back, port-town vibe.
