In Ueno, after visiting museums or strolling through the park, you can enjoy a casual drink at izakayas and local pubs around the station or in the Ameyoko district. The lively nightlife here is characterized by a down-to-earth vibe, where locals and visitors mingle together. On the other hand, the Yanesen area (Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi) offers a quieter charm, surrounded by old temples, shrines, and narrow alleys. Here you'll find small izakayas, wine bars, and hidden eateries, better suited for a relaxed evening rather than extensive bar hopping. While the number of venues is more limited compared to Ueno, each spot has its own character and charm. Yanesen provides a more intimate and atmospheric night, with small, unique venues that highlight the area's quiet charm.
