Takasaki is known for its yakitori and gyoza culture, with rows of bustling skewer-focused izakayas. Around Maebashi Station, taverns and snack bars popular with office workers create a warm, casual drinking scene. In hot spring towns like Kusatsu and Ikaho, many izakayas cater to visitors looking for a drink after bathing. In industrial cities like Kiryu and Ota, retro-style pubs and sake taverns reflect the local culture, offering a more down-to-earth nightlife. Some places may not speak English, but with a local guide you can relax and enjoy. In certain areas, bars may be limited, so we will check if bar hopping is possible. Please feel free to book.

During the day, visitors enjoy strolling through the hot spring town, relaxing in foot baths, and sampling street foods such as onsen manju (sweet buns). In the evening, the atmosphere becomes calmer and more relaxed. Around the Yubatake, you'll find a number of izakayas and eateries, making it possible to enjoy bar hopping at two or three venues within walking distance. Options range from traditional, casual izakayas frequented by locals to cozy dining spots suited for a quieter evening. However, unlike in large urban areas, the number of venues is more limited, and some places may close earlier. If you plan to go bar hopping, it's recommended to decide on your preferred spots in advance. Combined with the hot spring experience, Kusatsu offers a simple yet warm style of nightlife unique to this onsen town.
