Tokyo Sakura Cruise (Cherry Blossom Viewing on Meguro River)

It is a beloved seasonal experience among Japanese locals, celebrating Ohanami, a once-a-year spring tradition. Unlike viewing cherry blossoms from the ground, this Sakura Cruise lets you enjoy the scenery without worrying about crowds or securing a viewing spot. As the boat glides gently along the river, you will pass beneath breathtaking tunnels of cherry blossoms, offering a magical perspective that can only be experienced from the water. Meguro River is one of Tokyo's most popular cherry blossom spots and can become extremely crowded on foot. From the cruise, however, you can admire the blossoms peacefully while passing through the most famous viewing areas. This experience is also perfect for photography: - Enjoy soft daylight and pleasant sunshine during daytime cruises - Experience beautifully illuminated cherry blossoms during evening cruises Take-out food and drinks are available nearby, so you can relax and enjoy cherry blossoms elegantly while dining onboard. An experienced Japanese-speaking guide will accompany the cruise to ensure a smooth journey. Even if you do not understand Japanese, you can still fully enjoy the atmosphere—just like the locals do. ## Cherry Blossom Viewing Periods Enjoy cherry blossoms throughout the season—from early blooms to full bloom, and even after, when petals fall like snow onto the river. **Pre-bloom to Full Bloom** Somei Yoshino cherry trees begin blooming gradually along the river. **Full Bloom to a Few Days After** Somei Yoshino trees are in full bloom, with petals covering the river surface. Weeping cherry trees in front of Hotel Gajoen Tokyo also begin to bloom. **About 1 to 10 Days After Full Bloom** Multi-layered cherry blossoms start blooming in the Osaki and Gotanda areas.
