Kura Sushi, one of Japan's popular conveyor belt sushi chains, is launching its first-ever collaboration campaign with the TV anime series SAKAMOTO DAYS at all locations nationwide starting Friday, October 31.
The TV anime SAKAMOTO DAYS is based on the hit manga by Suzuki Yuto, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2020, with over 15 million copies in circulation worldwide. The series was adapted into a TV anime in 2025, creating a massive buzz. The story follows Taro Sakamoto, a retired legendary assassin who now runs a convenience store called "Sakamoto Store" with his family. While living a peaceful daily life, he must protect his loved ones by fighting off assassins from his past alongside his former comrades. Despite his changed appearance, his legendary skills remain intact, creating a unique world that blends humorous everyday moments with intense action sequences that has captivated many fans.
The anime's first season aired in January 2025, with the second season beginning in July 2025.
For this first-time collaboration campaign, merchandise featuring popular characters such as protagonist Taro Sakamoto, Shin Asakura, and Nagumo will be available.
