Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store Deli Section Undergoes Largest Renovation Since Opening

Kintetsu Department Store has announced its medium-term management plan, outlining a vision to transform into a "new value creation company." As part of this initiative, a major renovation of the deli section at the flagship Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store will take place from February to late April 2026.

This marks the largest renovation of the deli section since Abeno Harukas' grand opening in 2014, covering approximately 60% of the basement second floor. With growing demand for Western-style prepared foods, the renovation will introduce 16 new shops, including several making their first appearances nationwide and new concepts from existing brands. The renewed space will offer one of Kansai's most extensive lineups of deli options, catering to diverse needs from office workers to younger customers.

The first phase begins on February 28, 2026, with the opening of two notable brands. The full lineup of shops opening in April will be announced at a later date.

Grill Capital Toyo-tei Deli

This deli-style concept brings the flavors of the renowned Kyoto Western restaurant to customers in a convenient format. Signature items include the "Century Western Cuisine Hamburg Bento" and the whole tomato "Tomato Salad," along with exclusive bento boxes available only at Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store.

Making its first appearance in a department store, this shop from Kyoto Prefecture's only village, Minamiyamashiro-mura, brings the area's charm through popular products made with tea and local ingredients, along with eat-in sweets.
