The "Yamagata Edition" of the Harukas Nippon Japan Expo runs from June 3 (Wed) to June 9 (Tue), 2026, at Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store in Osaka. Following the "Kagoshima Edition" held in May, this installment brings Yamagata Prefecture's early summer cherries, premium beef, craft whisky, and traditional handicrafts to the Abeno area.

Yamagata is renowned for its early summer cherries, and a variety of cherry fruits and cherry-inspired sweets and drinks are on offer throughout the event.

Whisky from the Yusa Distillery is featured here. Located in Yuza Town at the northern tip of Yamagata Prefecture at the foot of Mount Chokai — designated one of Japan's "100 Furusato Water Localities" in 1996 — the distillery benefits from clear, cool air and aging-friendly humidity, along with the underground waters of Mount Chokai.

About Harukas Nippon Japan Expo
Launched in spring 2026, this project at Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store connects with local governments and businesses across Japan to spotlight the unique character of different regions. Going beyond the traditional product fair format, each edition dedicates the entire store to one prefecture, linking local people, products, history, and culture with Osaka visitors.
