Two new additions to Acecook's popular Wakame Ramen lineup are coming to stores across Japan on April 27, 2026. Called "Wakame Ramen Kaoru Odashi" (Fragrant Dashi), the series comes in two varieties: Katsuo Arabushi Wasabi Soy Sauce and Rishiri Kombu Yuzu Pepper Salt. Both are priced at 236 yen (tax excluded).
The new products take a dashi-focused approach, pairing the savory aroma of wakame seaweed with broths drawn from seafood ingredients — katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes) and Rishiri kombu — then finishing each bowl with a fragrant herb accent.
Katsuo Arabushi Wasabi Soy Sauce

- Noodles: Smooth, springy round-cut noodles with a clean bite. Rehydration time: 3 minutes.
- Soup: A deeply flavored soy sauce ramen broth built around the bold aroma of katsuo arabushi (coarsely shaved dried bonito), with a hint of wasabi for an added layer of fragrance that complements the wakame.
- Toppings: Fragrant wakame seaweed, fluffy wheat gluten (fu), and sesame seeds.
- Packaging: A unified Japanese-pattern design on the background and menu text, with the "Kaoru Odashi" logo rendered in a traditional style for an elevated look.
Rishiri Kombu Yuzu Pepper Salt

- Noodles: Smooth, springy round-cut noodles with a clean bite. Rehydration time: 3 minutes.
- Soup: A richly flavored salt ramen broth drawing on the umami of Rishiri kombu dashi, with yuzu pepper added for a citrusy, spicy fragrance that pairs well with the wakame.
- Toppings: Fragrant wakame seaweed, wheat gluten (fu) that soaks up the broth for a juicy bite, and green onions for color.
- Packaging: A unified Japanese-pattern design on the background and menu text, with the "Kaoru Odashi" logo rendered in a traditional style for an elevated look.
Both varieties will be available nationwide from April 27, 2026.
