Performance Tailored to Different Running Needs
Trail running shoes require vastly different performance characteristics depending on distance, elevation gain, surface conditions, and race strategy. The Agravic franchise was developed based on efficient running performance cultivated through the ADIZERO series—a road running line that has supported record-breaking performances not only in Japanese ekiden races but also worldwide. The franchise aims to provide runners with choices tailored to their specific needs and race plans, from ultra-distance races to technical trails, short-distance races, and daily training or off-road running.
With the flagship model "Agravic Speed Ultra 2" (already released domestically in December 2025) as the centerpiece, the addition of three models with different purposes, distances, and surface characteristics evolves the Agravic franchise into a more comprehensive lineup.
In terms of design, the shoes feature the bold Three Stripes used in the road running ADIZERO series, reflecting a consistent product identity across both road and trail running.
New Performance Support Program for Trail Running Athletes
adidas Japan plans to launch a new athlete support program targeting major trail races in Japan. The program is designed to award points based on competitive results for athletes who compete in designated categories wearing adidas TERREX products, providing year-round athlete support.
This initiative aims to offer support opportunities to a wide range of runners willing to take on challenges, regardless of past achievements or affiliations, with race performance as one of the evaluation criteria.
