The Enduro series is a line of ultra-endurance GPS watches for athletes and adventurers who take on extreme challenges, such as trail running and ultra running. The watches combine solar charging, which provides some of the longest battery life in Garmin's history, with high-precision GPS and navigation features. Besides supporting athletes' performance with advanced training functions, they help with long races and adventures through high-precision GPS and navigation.

Highlights of the Enduro 4

  • Advanced solar charging technology gives the watch one of the longest battery lives in Garmin's history. In GPS mode, it can record activities for about 320 hours*, making it suitable for long races and adventures. Several power modes let users balance battery life and performance according to their needs.
  • The rugged body meets U.S. Department of Defense standards, yet the watch weighs only 66 g, and the nylon band keeps it comfortable to wear during long activities.
  • GNSS multi-technology support provides high-precision positioning even in harsh environments, and the built-in maps offer a variety of navigation options.
  • An upgraded map engine delivers a full-color map that is smoother and more intuitive to use.
  • The new "Garmin Epic" lets users manage and share activities spanning multiple days as a single record.
  • Stamina zones and stamina curves visualize changes in endurance and support pacing strategies for trail running and long-distance races.

*Assumes all-day wear, including 3 hours per day outdoors in 50,000 lux solar charging conditions.

Long Battery Life

  • Combining a power-efficient 1.4-inch MIP display with a solar lens, the watch offers about 90 days* of battery life in smartwatch mode.
  • Various power modes optimize battery life and performance for different uses. They include "Max Accuracy" for high-precision tracking during short activities, as well as long-duration activity recording of about 320 hours* with solar charging.

*Assumes all-day wear, including 3 hours per day outdoors in 50,000 lux conditions.

Lightweight and Tough, With a More Comfortable ComfortFit Fabric Band

The watch keeps its lightweight design of just 66 g (body only: 57 g) and its rugged build that complies with the U.S. Department of Defense MIL-STD-810 military standard. It adds the newly adopted ComfortFit fabric band, which feels soft and flexible and offers excellent breathability and moisture absorption, so it stays comfortable during long trail runs and ultra races. The fit is easy to adjust, and the band stays stable even during vigorous movement.

Storage Expanded to 64 GB ★

Built-in storage doubles from 32 GB on the previous model to 64 GB. This allows more map data, music and other files to be stored, widening the ways the watch can be used on its own.

Full-Color Map With a Stronger Map Engine ★

  • An enhanced map engine and 50% more RAM than the previous model make map panning up to 30% faster. Checking routes and changing course during an activity is smoother, making navigation more comfortable.
  • In addition to the detailed topographic maps of Japan and more than 2,200 ski maps worldwide, map data for the Asia region is newly built in.

New Features for Trail Running and Long-Distance Race Performance

Updated stamina features

Stamina curves and stamina zones support pacing strategies that look ahead to the end of a race, not just the present moment. Visualizing the current condition helps with pace decisions and with tracking progress made through training.

Updated grade-adjusted pace display

The grade-adjusted pace display gives a more accurate picture of running performance on courses that include uphill and downhill sections. It corrects for pace changes caused by gradient, which helps with pacing strategies in races and training.

Stamina-related features

Advanced Navigation for Adventures

  • The watch supports GNSS multi-band technology to provide high-precision location data in harsh environments. It also has SatIQ (automatic satellite selection mode), Garmin's proprietary technology that improves location accuracy without sacrificing battery life. (Depending on the selection, battery life may be affected.)
  • It provides high-precision course navigation on the full-color map. "ClimbPro" shows the gradient, distance and elevation of the course in real time along with the remaining distance and ascent. "NextFork" shows the distance to the next junction and the trail name, and the watch also has a course deviation alert.

ABC Sensor

The watch has an ABC sensor that includes an altimeter, a barometer and an electronic 3-axis compass.

Communication Features for Safer Adventures

Garmin Share lets users with Garmin devices share activity routes, important location information, workout menus and more in real time, without going through a smartphone. The watch also includes the "Garmin Messenger" app for two-way messaging with friends and family through the watch, supporting safety and communication during adventures.

Built-In LED Flashlight

The built-in LED flashlight offers a variety of functions, including adjustable brightness, a switch to red light and SOS signaling. It is useful for activities in remote areas and at night, as well as in the dark and early morning hours.

Indicators for Managing Your Condition

The watch measures data that serves as indicators for adjusting condition, from daily life to harsh environments and races. These include heart rate as a vital sign, "Body Battery," Garmin's proprietary indicator that quantifies the body's energy state, stress level, "Sleep Score" and "Sleep Coach," which present sleep quality and offer advice, and blood oxygen tracking*, which can also serve as an indicator of altitude acclimatization.

*Measurements from blood oxygen tracking are not intended for medical use. They are intended only for general fitness and wellness purposes.

Advanced Training Functions and Activity Metrics

  • Besides the enhanced stamina metrics, the watch offers many metrics useful for trail running and ultra running, including "Trail Run VO2 Max" (maximum oxygen uptake) and PacePro, which shows the best pace for each section according to the course's elevation changes and the target time.
  • "Training Readiness" shows, on a scale of 1 to 100, how well the body can handle high-intensity training that day, based on sleep, recovery, HRV (heart rate variability) status, training load and more. "Training Status" evaluates training load while also taking condition into account. These advanced metrics help with daily training and condition management.
  • More than 100 built-in sports apps cover ultra running, multisport, triathlon, cycling, strength training, yoga, swimming, golf, HIIT and more.
  • Personalized suggestions support effective training, such as recommended workouts based on the current training load and Training Status, and strength training plans that build muscle efficiently.
