Nijigen no Mori, the anime park on Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture, is holding the cosplay event Awaji Island COSPLAY Awacos Powered by World Cosplay Summit for the 4th time on Monday, October 12, 2026 (a national holiday). The event is organized by WCS Co., Ltd., and tickets are now on sale.
The event brings cosplayers from around the world together to socialize and enjoy cosplay photography in locations unique to Nijigen no Mori. Set across the park's expansive natural grounds, attractions that recreate the worlds of popular franchises — including NARUTO & BORUTO Shinobizato, Godzilla Interception Operation, Dragon Quest Island, and Crayon Shin-chan Adventure Park — serve as backdrops for photos that can only be taken here.
At the 3rd Awaji Island COSPLAY Awacos Powered by World Cosplay Summit, held previously, many cosplayers and photographers took part, enjoying free-form photo shoots in locations where Awaji Island's grand natural scenery merges with anime and manga content. This time, the event again welcomes many participants from across Japan and overseas, offering a special photography experience that immerses visitors in the world of their favorite works, along with opportunities to connect with fellow cosplayers.
In addition, at World Cosplay Summit 2026, held in August 2026, Nijigen no Mori took to the awards ceremony stage and presented the Nijigen no Mori Award to Indonesia's representative cosplayer, who competed in a Monster Hunter series costume. Nijigen no Mori will continue working together with cosplayers from around the world who gathered for one of the largest cosplay events on the planet, toward making this event a success.
