ROOMDIVE (ルームダイブ), an immersive space creation system under development by Brother Industries, Ltd., was used in the experience content system "instax™ "チェキ"presents グリーティングボックス" (hereafter "Greeting Box") at Hatsune Miku YOZORA PROGRAM 2026, an official Hatsune Miku event organized by Gugenka. Many visitors came to the booth at the venue.
Hatsune Miku YOZORA PROGRAM 2026 was held from September 21 to 23, with Niigata Nippo Mediaship (新潟日報メディアシップ) as the main venue. Under the theme "Night Sky × Festival" (夜空×フェス), the event offered a wide range of hands-on programs, including a "Special AR Music Fireworks" (スペシャルAR音楽花火) display that colored the night sky of Niigata, and the Greeting Box, which incorporates Brother's ROOMDIVE. More than 7,100 people visited over the three days.
The Greeting Box is an immersive space for a fan-meeting experience. When visitors stand in front of the video projected on ROOMDIVE, the elevator in the video starts to move, and the sense of immersion is like riding a real elevator. When the elevator arrives at the floor where Hatsune Miku is and visitors hold up their smartphones, Hatsune Miku appears to leap from the screen into the smartphone in their hands. Visitors can also capture her striking various poses on their own smartphones.
ROOMDIVE is a video projection system that can build an immersive space compactly, without the need for large-scale equipment. By projecting video onto a curved screen using Brother's proprietary "Spatial Projection System" (空間投影システム) and "Content Management System," it creates an immersive space. To make the elevator projected in the Greeting Box look more realistic, a square-shaped space with the front and side walls joined at right angles was used instead of the conventional curved screen. The video still fit the right-angled corners, showing the high quality of the image correction that Brother's proprietary technology brings to ROOMDIVE.

Brother says it intends to keep creating various possibilities through opportunities like Hatsune Miku YOZORA PROGRAM 2026 and to deliver new experiential value to more people while working together with partner companies.
