BUNGU JOSHI HAKU Pop-Up Returns to Osaka's Umeda for 7 Days This Fall, Featuring 55 Stationery Brands

From Wednesday, October 28 to Tuesday, November 3 (a national holiday), 2026 — seven days in total — the 8th-floor event space at Hanshin Umeda Main Store hosts "BUNGU JOSHI HAKU pop-up in Umeda 2026," a "see it, touch it, buy it" stationery festival that ranks among the largest of its kind in Japan.

BUNGU JOSHI HAKU brings visitors face to face with a wide variety of stationery. "BUNGU JOSHI HAKU in Osaka 2026," held this past March, drew around 42,000 visitors over five days, and "BUNGU JOSHI HAKU pop-up in Niigata 2026," held just last week, proved so popular that tickets for nearly every time block sold out before the event even opened. Responding to stationery fans' enthusiasm from across the country, the event returns to Osaka's Umeda this fall.

"BUNGU JOSHI HAKU pop-up in Umeda 2026" steps things up from last year: the number of exhibitors grows by 11 to a total of 55 companies, including 12 makers appearing in Umeda for the first time. The event also runs one day longer than last year, for a full seven days. Whether you've been to BUNGU JOSHI HAKU before or you're attending for the first time, there's a chance to fully enjoy encounters with a wide range of distinctive stationery.

This edition's theme is "Today, Which Stationery Will You Choose?" — the idea of picking stationery the way you might pick an outfit to match your plans or mood. Visitors can browse more than 20,000 items in search of a favorite find.

Advance tickets are required for entry. Each day is divided into timed blocks with a capacity limit, and sales end once a block reaches capacity — tickets may sell out before the event opens, so advance booking is recommended.

2. Meet the Brands Making Their Umeda Debut

Artec

・株式会社アーテック

An educational-products maker with 65 years in business. Its items feature cute designs and playful ideas, such as memo pads where you can tear off one sheet as each task is finished, and stamps that connect vertically, horizontally, and diagonally.

uroco+

・uroco+

A brand built around "giving form to, and delivering, the feelings that move us." To bring color into everyday life through stationery, it sells items that focus on materials — color and texture in particular.

Otome Insatsu

・乙女印刷

Sells paper goods printed sheet by sheet, color by color, on a letterpress. The indentations left by the plate, the slight ink unevenness, and small misalignments in printing give the pieces a warm, handmade feel.

Quo Vadis Japan

・クオバディス・ジャパン

The Japan office of the French paper-goods group Exacompta Clairefontaine. Sells a wide range of the French brand's stationery, including diaries, notebooks, ink, and letter goods.

Stamp Standard

・スタンプスタンダード

A brand from a hanko (seal) maker founded in 1922. Carries a large selection, including Taisho- and Showa-retro-style stamps, original date stamps, and stamps for decorating planners. Handmade stamps are produced one at a time.

nekoto

・nekoto

The name comes from "neko" (cat) and "koto" (thing). Develops cat-themed goods, giving shape — together with cat-loving creators — to a deep love of cats, modeled on all kinds of real cats.

Pine Book

・パインブック

Offers a wide range of items, including stickers that make the most of materials and finishes such as washi paper, tracing paper, and foil stamping, plus a playful "Omoshiro Series" (funny series) good for a laugh. Plans and develops stationery and goods with a spirit of play.

Pavilio

・Pavilio

A lace-tape brand born from a sticker-printing company in Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture. The appeal lies in tape finished down to the smallest detail — delicate cutting that looks like real lace, vivid color, foil stamping, and embossing.

PHP Institute Kurashi Design

・PHP研究所 暮らしデザイン

Sells stationery inspired by the picture books of illustrators Yoshitake Shinsuke and Shibata Keiko, plus collaboration stationery with a popular bakery and collaboration goods with textile design brand SOU・SOU.

myrtilles atelier

・myrtilles atelier

A specialty shop for sealing stamps, covering everything from cute to stylish designs. Its art seals for sealing-wax arrangements are popular, along with sticker-style "stamp seals" that let people without a sealing stamp join in the fun too.

Morita Inbo

・森田印房

A seal maker with 75 years of history in Shijo Karasuma, Kyoto. Under the theme "a colorful everyday life enjoying hanko," it sells stamps and goods hand-drawn by the artist Morita Keiko.
