Burger King's Food Truck Tour "KING ON TOUR 2026" Heads to Miyazaki, Saga, and Yamaguchi for the First Time

Burger King®'s food truck tour "KING ON TOUR 2026" is back, travelling to cities across Japan where no permanent Burger King® store currently exists. The first leg of this year's tour will mark the brand's debut in Miyazaki City (Miyazaki Prefecture), Saga City (Saga Prefecture), and Yamaguchi City (Yamaguchi Prefecture). Note that Yamaguchi Prefecture was visited by the food truck last year — but that stop was in Shimonoseki; Yamaguchi City itself will be getting its first visit.

Burger King® has grown from 77 stores in Japan as of May 2019 to 350 stores as of April 14, 2026 — roughly 4.5 times its former size over about seven years. Even so, new store openings have not been able to keep up with demand from customers across the country, which is why the food truck tour continues to bring the flame-grilled Whopper® experience directly to underserved areas.

Menu

Whopper® Cheese

Two burgers will be on offer at the food truck, each sold as a set with a drink priced at ¥1,000:

Whopper® Cheese — A flame-grilled 100% beef patty topped with cheddar cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, creamy mayo sauce, and ketchup, served on a toasted sesame bun. A classic Burger King® favourite.

Spicy BBQ Whopper® — A flame-grilled 100% beef patty with fresh lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles, finished with a double sauce: Bull's-Eye™ BBQ Sauce and a house-made spicy sauce combining chili pepper, garlic, and doubanjiang. This item is exclusive to the food truck.

Each set comes with a choice of Coca-Cola® or Coca-Cola® Zero. Items cannot be ordered individually, and no customisation is available (except ingredient removal for allergy reasons).

Sales are limited to 300–400 sets per day on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of 3 sets per transaction.

About the Flame-Grilled Patty

Flame-grilled 100% beef patty

Burger King® uses a proprietary broiler to cook its 100% beef patties directly over an open flame — a method known as Flame-Grilled. This allows excess fat to drain away while locking in the juices, creating a smoky, juicy patty that sets it apart from most other burger chains.

Limited-Edition Sticker with Every Purchase

KING ON TOUR Limited Sticker

With each set purchased, customers will receive one "Burger King® KING ON TOUR Limited Sticker" featuring the name of the city being visited. Available while supplies last.

The Yamaguchi stop coincides with the "PJF Pickleball Japan Open in Yamaguchi," an event organised by the Japan Pickleball Federation (PJF). Burger King® is a continuing sponsor of PJF, supporting the growth of pickleball — a racket sport that blends elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis — across Japan.

Pickleball has surged in popularity in the United States, with 24.3 million players in 2025 and nearly 48.3 million Americans having tried the sport at least once. In Japan, the player count has grown rapidly from around 3,000 in 2023 to over 45,000 as of March 2025.
