Chocolatier Palet d'Or, operated by Oval Liaison Co., Ltd., will showcase its 2026 Valentine lineup at the Hankyu Umeda Main Store Valentine event. The collection features two varieties of bean-to-bar nama chocolate made with Japanese domestic fruits: peaches from Yamanashi Prefecture and grapes from Nagano Prefecture.

Bean-to-Bar Nama Chocolate: Peach and Grape
The nama chocolate is crafted using house-made chocolate produced through an integrated process, from cacao bean selection and roasting to cacao butter extraction. Each variety highlights Japanese fruits carefully selected to complement the smooth texture and rich cacao flavor.
Peach - Furuya Farm, Yamanashi Prefecture

The peaches come from Furuya Farm in Ichinomiya Town, Yamanashi Prefecture. Nurtured by significant temperature differences, pure water, and meticulous care, the peaches develop concentrated flavor and gentle sweetness. The juicy fruit is slow-cooked into a purée and combined with house-made white chocolate. The result offers a silky mouthfeel, comforting sweetness, and a delicate blend of peach aroma and cacao fragrance.
Grape - Nagano Purple, Nagano Prefecture

Nagano Purple is an original grape variety from Nagano Prefecture, a cross between Kyoho and Rizamat. Known for its mild acidity, refreshing sweetness, and thin edible skin, these large dark grapes are ideal for eating whole. The house-made chocolate is blended with Nagano Purple purée to create a smooth ganache. The combination showcases the marriage of cacao with this premium fruit cultivated in Nagano's grape-growing region.
Both varieties highlight the terroir and dedication of the growers, paired with bean-to-bar chocolate crafted without cutting corners.
