The World Beer Cup is an international beer competition organized by the Brewers Association in the United States, widely regarded as the "Olympics of the beer world" and one of the most prestigious competitions in the industry. The 2026 edition drew 8,166 entries from 50 countries, with 12 Japanese beers earning awards — a scale that surpasses even the Japan Great Beer Awards (JGBA), one of Japan's largest domestic beer competitions.
The German-Style Pilsner category ranked 4th among all categories by number of entries, with 201 beers competing. The Silver Award places CRAFT BEER BASE's "Southern German-style Pilsener" 2nd in the world within that category.

Southern German-style Pilsener is a beer rooted in the traditional German Pilsner style, characterized by a delicate malt sweetness, refreshing hop bitterness, and a clean finish. It was co-brewed with Sebastian Hohentanner of BET Corporation, blending respect for German brewing traditions with CRAFT BEER BASE's own sense of balance.
