The desktop mascot platform Desktop Mate is holding a limited-time 20% off sale on the Desktop Mate POMPOMPURIN DLC to celebrate Pompompurin's first-place win in the 2026 Sanrio Character Ranking. The sale runs from 12:00 PM (JST) on June 29, 2026 (Monday) to 12:00 PM (JST) on July 13, 2026 (Monday).
Pompompurin Takes First Place in the 2026 Sanrio Character Ranking
The Sanrio Character Ranking is an annual fan vote that has been held since 1986. The 41st edition in 2026 featured 90 characters entered from among more than 450 Sanrio characters.
The final results were announced on June 28, 2026 (Sunday) at "Sanrio Fes 2026 in Minato Mirai" held at Pacifico Yokohama, with Pompompurin taking first place. The win is doubly celebratory as 2026 also marks Pompompurin's 30th anniversary debut year.
Desktop Mate is celebrating the result with a sale, giving Pompompurin fans a chance to bring the character to their desktops.

Pompompurin is a golden retriever boy known for his trademark dark brown beret. Easygoing by nature, his favorite phrase is "going out" and least favorite is "being left home alone." He enjoys collecting shoes and dreams of growing bigger and bigger. This laid-back character is coming to your desktop.
The DLC includes a variety of animations typical of Pompompurin's gentle, lovable personality — dozing off while seated, showing lively movements while standing, occasionally winking, and rolling around.
