The third edition of "Furusato Tokyo Oendan Sai: Beer, Yukata, and Bon Odori in Ueno 2026" is set to take place at the Takenodai Plaza (Fountain Plaza) in Ueno Onshi Park from July 3 to 5, 2026. Under the theme "JAPAN LOVE," the festival brings together regional specialties and craft beer from around Japan alongside traditional bon odori dancing.
A Festival That Grows Each Year
The first two editions of the event drew large, enthusiastic crowds by incorporating hit songs into the bon odori program — the debut featured "Lion" from Macross Frontier, while the second introduced "The Hottest Summer in the World" by Princess Princess. For the 2026 edition, a newly selected popular song will be added to the lineup. The popular anime-song bon odori segment also returns, offering a stage where attendees can dance along to well-known anime tracks. The program is structured to welcome first-timers and seasoned dancers alike.
Food, Beer, and Summer Treats
With 52 vendor stalls planned (covering food, drinks, and desserts), the festival offers a wide selection of local specialties and craft beers sourced from across the country, alongside classic summer treats such as soft-serve ice cream and shaved ice. Guests of all ages are invited to enjoy the summer atmosphere dressed in yukata.
