Akagi Nyugyo (headquartered in Fukaya, Saitama) is releasing a new seasonal ice bar, "Otona na Gari Gari Kun Nangoku Pineapple," nationwide on June 30, 2026 (Tuesday).
The ice bar consists of a pineapple-flavored shell filled with a juicy pineapple shaved-ice center. It uses 33% golden pineapple juice for a full-bodied, authentic fruit flavor, and the addition of passion fruit juice brings out a fragrant pineapple character alongside a tropical note. Compared to last year's release, this updated version takes a fresh approach to delivering genuine pineapple taste.
The ice crystals are also finer than those in a standard Gari Gari Kun, giving each bite a shaved texture reminiscent of eating frozen pineapple — making it a fitting treat for the summer season.
